Legalities

State statues define gambling as having three distinct characteristics: Prize, Chance, and Consideration. If any of these three characteristics are missing, the contract is within the law. Poker, by law, is considered to be a game of “chance.” “Prize” – we have lots of them! "'Consideration' means anything which is a commercial or financial advantage to the promoter or the disadvantage to any participant.”

This means we cannot charge a fee for players to play BarPoker. There is no “buy-in.” We cannot require players to make a purchase from the host location. Chips used in our tournament have no financial value. Be sure to read our BarPoker regulations. Each player must sign a sheet stating they understand these regulations. Our regulations are also posted at each event.

BarPoker.com is committed to running our tournaments within state laws. It is our policy to notify local County Attorneys of our contests wherever BarPoker is played.

My name is Max Reele.
BarPoker awarded me a World Series of Poker Main Event Entry for winning a 2005/2006 BarPoker tournament. During the 2006 WSOP Main Event, I finished 59th in a field of more than 8700 players. I took home almost $125,000.00 in prize money. BarPoker got me there. It’s as simple as that. BarPoker is for real. It could happen for you as well by playing BarPoker.

Thanks BarPoker
